Depends on how crowded and noisy the place is. Once I met with two colleagues to review a presentation they were preparing. This was on a Wednesday afternoon between 3-4 pm during the fall semester. We could talk and hear each other without difficulty because there were many vacant seats.
Good question. Not sure, but if you call them directly, they can answer your question.
Enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Excellent service, a warm and welcoming space.
One of the best restaurants in Maryland, and some of the best veg food anywhere. Very close to JHU, I only wish they had a location near Hopkins hospital. Looking forward to trying the brunch again very soon!
Breakfast can be a hit or miss - desserts are good omelettes are too, sometimes. Over-priced though.
Great weekend brunch spot. Bottomless mimosas and the weekly special is a solid pick.
Still great vegetarian restaurant. Hasn't lost a beat and great service.
I liked this little joint. Good coffee, well made bakery foods, nice fresh lunch. Will certainly be back.
This place is great and loving the service here. Their coffee taste amazing all the time and their staff are super welcoming too.
This place is a hang out place for all Hopkins students. The people working here don't care how long you hang out here. They have free WiFi. The fries are really good.
This is a Baltimore vegetarian haven. Great coffee and wonderful vegetarian comfort food selections. Friendly service and also the option of the cafe side or the table service side. Some gluten free options as well.
Have been here twice, got the quesadilla the first time and it was AMAZING. I went again today and ordered the Thai curry... kind of a letdown, especially considering the prices. Still, this place is a must go for all vegans in the area. Vegan French toast was just okay.
Delicious, reasonably priced coffee and pastries! The cafe area is a perfect spot to do work or catch up with friends. They also have a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu and are open late, which is really nice considering most cafes close around 5pm. Tons of great vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. I would definitely recommend their carrot cake and blueberry muffins.
Popular restaurant specializing in vegetarian food. Nachos are great! Lots of Hopkins types and community members. Parking can be tricky.
A go to Sat and Sunday brunch spot. Great food...friendly staff in a location that will feel familiar to anyone who has lived in an East Coast rust belt town...first stop when this is lifted!lived in Richmond, Philly or and other rust beltbrotown.ne first steps when all this is over. .
Nice quiet casual vegan restaurant with EXCELLENT service and a good menu.
Vegan and gluten-free eats are essential to me... but a place with both AND good vibes is a rarity! I'm grateful for One World because I feel like I've come home when I dine there.
This place is amazing. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, as my family is a split, this place has got you covered. They even have vegan desserts that you want. Please, try this place. It's amazing. Big portions and healthy tasty food at a great price. Always a happy face to greet you. The servers are always so kind. Try the, organic tofu club. It will make you drool. Hard. Vegan or not.
Have only been here for drinks so will stick with that - nice selection of beers with a knowledgeable bartender and good options for wine and cocktails. We typically visit when attending sporting events across the street at Hopkins so it is a great location. Relaxed atmosphere compared to the hotel up the street and cheaper also. Didn't eat the food but sounds like with the vegetarian and vegan focus, I probably wouldn't anyway so no comment there. Do enjoy the bar though and will continue to frequent it for that alone.
Excellent food! Great ambiance!
So surprising as I have always loved One World Cafe. But recently you wait a very long time to be helped or even acknowledged. I could completely understand if they were busy but when they are simply playing amongst themselves and swearing etc. I found it to be incredibly unprofessional and just not worth the wait.
One of my most prized hidden gems! If you don't know about this place ask someone fast! I love the progressive vegan menu and the diversity here! Perfect dinner spot or weekend spot. I brought my pescatarian best friend here for her birthday and she ate all vegan with me and she loved it! Thanks for this amazing spot!
I have gone a handful of times, and though enjoyable, I always go expecting more and leave with a satisfactory experience. The place is poorly lit yet not in a romantic or intimate setting - either too bright or too dark. The food is as I said satisfactory. The menu descriptions can be delightful. In my personal taste the food could use more flavor, and they could be more creative with how they prepare their tofu. The hot chocolate was warm, yet simply tasted of chocolate syrup... I feel the quality and inventiveness could step up a margin, as well as the atmosphere.
Went here with my mom for my birthday. As a vegetarian, she rarely has options for food at restaurants other than salad and mac and cheese. The menu here was entirely vegetarian/vegan, and while I myself am not (and was a little hesitant to order something unfamiliar), I found that the food was absolutely incredible. We split a cream of tomato/basil soup, and I had no idea tomato soup could taste that good. I also ordered a portobello mushroom wrap, which was delicious and very filling. Non-vegetarians might be hesitant to go here because of the unfamiliarity, but I insist that you give it a try- it's well worth it.
The food is flavorful, fresh and well-presented. Our server seemed irritated despite the nearly empty dining room we waited to be seated in.We had the steamed vegetables and rice with ginger sauce and the vegan jambalaya with blue cornmeal muffins. It was served in generous portions and came out quickly after ordering.
Got into town late and starving, and didn't have too many choices near the hotel because of the late hour, but I was more than pleasantly surprised by the very good vegan jambalaya and nice selection of beers. When I come back to see my client, I will be back.
Cozy coffee shop near the Homewood campus that is a great place to chat over high quality coffee or grab a drink before the football game.
First time eating here. Had Pecan French Toast and vegetarian sausage. I think my son ate more of my sausage than I did, because it was that tasty. Nice servers. Relaxed atmosphere. Intimate atmosphere.
Greatest place for a Hopkins grad!
OWC has been one of the longest running veggie spots in Baltimore. Their core menu is mostly no-frills veggie staples and if you like something once, you know what to expect. Keep on eye on the dinner specials. They have some great offerings. It's also a pretty chill bar and often isn't too crowded after hours.
A cozy, quaint cafe with a huge selection of vegan/vegetarian items. My wife and I both ordered the Buckwheat Waffle and my daughter ordered the smoke salmon omelette. We also split an order if the Facon bacon. Our waffles were deliciously decadent and conjured up memories of my grandmothers Buckwheat pancakes. My daughter loved her omelette and stated is was perfectly cooked. Our server Kelly was a gracious host and really took excellent care of our during our entire meal.
My pup and I went on a long walk today and he drank all of his water halfway through. We were passing by, so I called to see if I could order 2 water bottles and this really nice lady came gave me a to-go cup of water and filled a water bowl up twice for my dog. I didn't actually try anything (this time) but I wanted to share the kindness of this place. Thank you!
I highly recommend this lovely piece of paradise. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Great spot to get delicious, healthy food. The staff is very friendly and the cafe has an overall warm atmosphere. Tried a variety of soups today that were all delicious.
Not Taco Tuesday but rather Tuesday Black bean Quesadilla and Burrito night! Great food! I got the quesadilla.. just the right crunch to the tortilla. Paired with a hard cranberry/ apple cider from Pennsylvania, yummy! Great vibe. Great service ( kudos to Kelly)! A great neighborhood hangout, even if you're not from the neighborhood!
good veggie and vegan options. and their barista is a huge Harry Potter fan, I love talking to him about the wizarding world!
What a find! This fresh veg-vegan formula could work anywhere, wish we had one in my town. I find the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and just quirky enough to keep me interested. See you next time.
Great place close to our hotel when we visited! Walked there two days in a row for breakfast and delicious coffee. Their food presentation is drool worthy also. 👌 highly recommend!
Always yummy! Reasonably priced! Really just a great spot!
Fried tofu and triple curry was okay. Good place for students hangout.
Pricey, ugly. Ok food and service.
Hipster type vegetarian restaurant with many Vegan options. Tasty and creative specials with a kind staff.
Visited this place at around 10 pm to have some coffee and cheesecake during my visit to JHU. Good service and nice food.
This is my all-time favorite place to get coffee/do work AND grab drinks for a dinner date. Phenomenal atmosphere and vegan options. Thank you, One World!
I've come here dozens of times in the last decade and it's always great. The menu is generally vegetarian but it is all deliciously seasoned. There's a sit-down restaurant section in the back and a cafe-style section in the front with a bar in between. The cafe section is an excellent place to study although seating can be limited at peak hours. In warm weather, outdoor seating is available. Sometimes, the air conditioning may be turned up a bit too strong in the summer and it can get chilly.
Great food with a great atmosphere. It's especially good for vegans or vegetarians. Don't worry if you're an omnivore, though. They have plenty of options.
Overpriced, food is meh, and worst of all, sullen service. Come here if you want a limp $13 sandwich served with a scowl.
Looks like they've expanded the menu. Creative dishes.
Light and fun atmosphere! Space is a little tight, but it is prefect for a quick snack or even Sunday brunch.
Quality food and drinks everytime I go here. The atmosphere is nice too with is eccentric/rustic style.
A very nice place to hangout
